A workshop benefiting the Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry+ will offer students tips on how to make the most out of boxed and canned food items.
The event is 5 to 6 p.m. April 18 in the Recreation and Wellness Center’s Presentation Kitchen. Mitch Rippe, director of nutrition and education for the Nebraska Beef Council will lead the presentation. He will serve ground beef and pasta skillet primavera for free with a canned food donation. Cash donations will also be accepted.
Registration, which is open through April 16, is available online.
All donations will benefit the Huskers Helping Huskers Pantry+, a pantry at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Located on the third floor of the Nebraska Union, Room 348, the pantry is a one-stop site to assist students.
Pantry services, which include free food and hygiene items, are available with a valid NCard.
