Bio

Susan Swearer is the co-director of the Bullying Research Network and an expert in bullying prevention and intervention. She is the director of the BRAVE research lab, which conducts research on the relations between bullying and psychological disorders in children and adolescents; developmental issues in bullying prevention and intervention; and the evaluation of cognitive-behavioral interventions for youth who bully others and/or who are bullied. She is passionate about helping schools and communities create kinder and braver spaces for all. (Updated May 2025.)
