On Sept. 30, 1,046 employees received honors for years of service to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln during the annual Service Awards ceremony at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.
Faculty and staff being honored for service milestones will be recognized during the annual employee service award recognition program beginning at 10:30 a.m. Human Resources will distribute the employee service awards in the Johnny Carson Theater, located on the west side of the Lied Center for Performing Arts. At 9 a.m., coffee and rolls will be available on the Orchestra level of the Lied Center for employees picking up service awards.
The awards are presented to UNL employees for completing years of service in five-year intervals. The awards are calculated both on consolidated or continuous regular employment. The awards also include the announcement of emeriti status for 88 retired faculty.
The employee service awards list, which is available online and in the Sept. 30 edition of the Scarlet, is organized alphabetically by campus department/unit first, then last name. The emeriti list is organized alphabetically by last name.
The ceremony is held in conjunction with Chancellor Harvey Perlman’s annual State of the University Address and All-University Picnic.
