The University of Nebraska Brass Quintet will present an “American Music for Brass” recital at 7:30 p.m. March 30 in Kimball Hall.
The program will feature the Nebraska premiere of Michael Tilson Thomas’ “Street Song” as well as the Parable II for Quintet by Vincent Persichetti. Parable is being performed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vincent Persichetti. The remainder of the program is devoted to the music of Charles Ives and the timeless melodies of Stephen Foster.
The University of Nebraska Brass Quintet includes UNL’s Scott Quackenbush, K. Craig Bircher, Alan Mattingly, Scott Anderson and Craig Fuller.
Tickets, available at the door, are $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.
