Campus Nightlife will host “Chopped,” a cooking competition, at 8 p.m. on March 10 in the Nebraska Union Ballroom. Registration, available online, is open through March 3.

Like the “Chopped” television show, the event will feature three rounds of competition. Each team will be given the same ingredients, unknown to them, before the start of each round. The teams will have to quickly decide what to cook with the given ingredients and prepare the food. Contestant dishes will be judged based on presentation, creativity and taste.

The event will also include cooking demonstrations presented by campus and community chefs. The presentations will focus on teaching how to cook better meals while shopping on a budget.

Admission is one nonperishable food item per person. All food donations will go to OpeN Shelf, the campus food bank that is open to students.
