Chancellor Harvey Perlman will address the UNL Faculty Senate during its 2:30 p.m. Oct. 6 meeting in the East Union Arbor Suite.
Established in 1974, the Faculty Senate is a representative body of members elected by the faculty of UNL’s academic units. The senate is the UNL’s governing agency for dealing with issues that impact more than one college. It also acts as the official voice of the faculty at UNL.
The Oct. 6 agenda also includes presentations on:
Title IX requirements, led by Susan Foster, director of Institutional Equity and Compliance, and Jan Deeds, director of the Women’s Center and associate director of gender programs; and
the Committee for Institutional Cooperation’s Faculty Governance Leadership Conference, led by John Bender, professor of news-editorial and president of the Faculty Senate.
Faculty Senate meetings are open to the public.
