Due to a budget decrease, the University Program Council will not offer Fountain Frolics, an annual summer concert series.
During the most recent allocation process, UPC members opted to request a budget decrease of $11,100 and eliminate summer programs starting in the 2014-2015 academic year. The request was made as members felt that UPC’s summer programming did not effectively reach enough UNL students to warrant the use of student fees.
Fountain Frolics concerts were offered at noon on Thursdays in June and July. The series featured local bands playing at the north entrance to the Nebraska Union.
UPC will continue to evaluate summer programming needs in the future.
