Free Adobe, Blackboard workshops offered Aug. 19-21

Workshops are free, but participants should register at http://go.unl.edu/powerclassroom

UNL is offering free PowerClassroom workshops Aug. 19-21 in Architecture Hall. The workshops are designed to help participants sharpen their skills using the tools employed in the classroom.

Sessions include:

  • Adobe Presenter Essentials – Helps turn boring presentations into engaging Flash multimedia experiences;

  • Blackboard Assignments & Rubrics – Helps professors learn how to manage, grade and organize online assignments easier and faster;

  • Blackboard Essentials – Explores all of the basic tools a professor can use with blackboard in their face-to-face course;

  • Blackboard Grade Center – Learn how to enter scores into blackboard, customize the display, select specific display types, freeze names for easier scrolling and export grades;

  • Blackboard Tests, Surveys & Polls – Learn how to create a test, question types and how to make a test available for students. The participant will also learn how to look at setting test options, how to view grades and how to view the statistics; and

  • Box Essentials – The participant will gain experience in uploading files and folders, syncing those files and folders to their desktop and collaborating with others.

Leona Barratt will teach all courses except one. Ranelle Maltas will teach Box Essentials.

Workshops are free, but participants are required to register at http://go.unl.edu/powerclassroom. Each session lasts about one hour.
