Garza, Castro to lead Hispanic Heritage Month lecture

OASIS will host a talk by James Garza with Joy Castro from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the Nebraska Union, Regency A room. The talk is part of OASIS’ Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration.

The talk will focus on Latin America, historical inequality and lessons for the present.

Garza is an associate professor of history and ethnic studies at UNL. Castro is a professor of English and ethnic studies and director of UNL’s Institute for Ethnic Studies.
