Tom Hoegemeyer
A reception for Tom Hoegemeyer, professor of practice, is 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 22 in the East Union.
Hoegemeyer retired in 2008 as the chief executive officer of Hoegemeyer Hybrids, where he was an internationally recognized breeder of corn hybrids. In retirement, Hoegemeyer assisted with a UNL fundraising campaign in 2009 and started teaching in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture. He became the department’s first plant breeder in residence.
The reception is free and open to faculty, staff and students.
