The all-female mariachi band, Las Cecilias, plays at the Sheldon's Nov. 1 First Friday event.
Las Cecilias, an all-female mariachi band from Omaha, is featured in a First Friday “Día de los Muertos” celebration, 5 to 7 p.m., Nov. 1 at the Sheldon Museum of Art.
The free event is co-hosted by UNL’s Mexican-American Student Association, Sigma Lambda Beta, Sigma Lambda Gamma, Lamda Theta Nu and Sheldon.
Sheldon is also participating in a three-day Día de los Muertos with the Lied Center for Performing Arts and Lincoln City Libraries. That event includes a family celebration, noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Sheldon.
