A retirement reception for Randy Leach, director of academic services and enrollment management and assistant to the associate vice chancellor for business affairs, is 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in the Van Brunt Visitors Center.
Leach was hired at UNL 23 years ago in the Division of Continuing Studies. He has been the chief financial officer of that unit reporting to the head of the organization through a number of changes. Within UNL, Leach has been a key member in designing and administering tuition distribution policies for the various types of distance courses offered by UNL colleges, which impacted the significant growth in distance course offerings and student credit hours generated over the last several years.
Leach has been active in the field of distance education and outreach as a member of the University Continuing Education Association at both the national and regional levels. He is also an active with the University Association for Administrative Development, having been a member for 23 years and serving numerous officer positions, including president from 2003-2004.
The reception is free and open to faculty, staff and students.
