New cooking classes offered at Wellness Kitchen

UNL Wellness Initiative

Campus Recreation will offer several new cooking classes this spring at the Wellness Kitchen in the Rec and Wellness Center on East Campus. Each class includes a cooking coach, food and all materials needed unless otherwise noted.

Class topics include:

  • Guest-led Cooking, 6 to 7:30 p.m., March 8 and April 12: Classes will feature guests from the Nebraska Beef Council and local food connoisseurs. Cost is $20 for UNL students or Campus Rec members and $25 for general public. Sign up with a friend and save $5 on each registration.

  • Free Guest Demo, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., March 16 and April 20: Guests from the UNL and Lincoln community will be invited to showcase different foods, recipes and styles of cooking. Participants will get a taste of the food items. No meal provided.

  • Specialty Cooking, 6 to 7:30 p.m., April 26: Class is $30 per couple for UNL students or Campus Rec members and $40 per couple for general public.
