UNL employees are encouraged to go online and print new pharmacy insurance cards. Numbers on the cards have changed due to provisions of the Affordable Care Act.
The new CVS/Caremark pharmacy insurance cards are available at http://go.unl.edu/de2s. The group, RxBIN and RxPCN numbers on the cards are the new, updated versions.
“The information on these cards is vital for your pharmacy to submit your prescription to the correct payor,” said Janet Schwarz, a pharmacist at the University Health Center. “Failure to give the new information in 2014 could result in a delay in receiving a prescription or an incorrect charge in cost/copay.”
Employees will have to fill in individual identification numbers on the new cards. Those numbers include an employee’s personnel number (located on pay stubs, not NCard numbers) preceded by enough zeros to make a nine-digit number.
Extra copies of the cards can be printed and given to spouses and other dependents. University faculty and staff are also eligible to use the University Health Center pharmacy to fill prescriptions or purchase some over the counter items at reduced prices.
