Human Resources is offering a series of new seminars for UNL supervisors. The seminars start at 8 a.m. Oct. 23 in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center.
“What HR Can Do For You” is a one-hour overview of ways employment, compensation, benefits and risk management, employee relations, employee assistance program and organization development can assist supervisors and administrators. Additional 80-minute supervisory seminars will be offered later the same day. Those sessions include: “Workplace Communication,” by Floyd Sylvester, Employee Assistance Program; “Performance Management,” Layton Brooks and Kelly White, both of Employee Relations; “Creating and Managing Work Teams,” Nancy Myers, Organization Development; and “Making the Best Hire,” Roshan Pajnigar, Employment and Compensation.
The seminars are free, but registration is required at https://training.unl.edu.
