Percussion Ensemble performance is April 27

The UNL Percussion Ensemble will present a program of chamber works composed over the last decade at 7:30 p.m. April 27 in Kimball Hall.

Highlights include Dan Trueman’s futuristic laptop and percussion quartet; “The Drums of Winter” by Pulitzer Prize winner John Luther Adams; a hi-hat quartet from Julia Wolfe’s “Dark Full Ride;” and a performance by UNL faculty artist Dave Hall, who will join the Graduate Percussion Quartet in a performance of “Alejandro Viñao’s Estudios de Frontera.”

Tickets, available at the door, are $5 for general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.
