Dave Gosselin, director of environmental studies and an earth science professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present the next program in the Sustainability Leadership Presentation Series at UNL.
The program, “Water: Connecting Everything to Everything Else,” will be broadcast live from Lincoln from 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 7 in 209 Hardin Hall, 3310 Holdrege St. on East Campus. Interested individuals may also hear it live at Central Community College in Columbus, Grand Island, Holdrege, Kearney, Lexington and Ord or stream it live on their computer.
Gosselin will discuss how water is the key to improving global health, ensuring social welfare and social stability, and promoting economic development and environmental sustainability. Water is essential to life, yet more than 1 billion people lack access to an adequate water supply and more than twice as many lack basic sanitation.
The Sustainability Leadership Presentation Series is a partnership between Central Community College, Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Communities, Metropolitan Community College, the UNL Environmental Studies program and WasteCap Nebraska. For more information on the program, click here.
