The final day of the fall semester performance season in UNL’s Glenn Korff School of Music will feature the Big Red Singers and UNL Vocal Jazz Ensemble. The groups take to the stage in Kimball Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13.
The Big Red Singers will debut the performance they have developed for the upcoming competition season. That season includes the Midwest Cup Show Choir Competition hosted by UNL on Jan. 16.
The repertoire will feature custom arrangements by UNL alumni Nick Dahlquist and Andrew Jacobson, as well as current Big Red Singers member Thomas Stoysich. Choreography is by Alex Hall, Ben Eklund and April James. Kirk Schjodt is the director.
The UNL Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by David von Kampen, will perform “Walk With Me,” “Lord,” “Charleston Alley,” “Skylark,” “Alesund” and “My Favorite Things.”
Tickets for the performance is $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens.
The performance will also be shown live online.
