In preparation for the SBIR Road Tour event, UNL Industry Relations, the Nebraska Business Development Center and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development will be hosting two training sessions June 10.
The SBIR Road Tour is a national outreach effort to explore funding opportunities through the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs.
Session information: There will be a Lincoln session at 9 a.m. in the Nebraska East Union Sycamore Room. There will also be an Omaha session at 2 p.m. in the UNO College of Business MH Room 100K.
There will be no charge to attend, but registration is required.

Federal program officers representing the Department of Agriculture, Department of Commerce, Department of Defense, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration and National Science Foundation with $2.5 billion in early stage funding will discuss their programs and be available to meet one-on-one with small business interests and principal investigators.
The Nebraska stop on the road tour will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 16 at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center. There will also be no charge to attend the program officer presentations and one-on-one meetings, but registration is required.
