Sheldon Museum of Art will host K-12 educators for “Artful Teaching,” an evening of hands-on activities and networking, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.
Participating teachers will explore cross-disciplinary connections of Nebraska fine art standards through writing, observation and art-making activities. Professional development workshops will be led by Kim Matthews, researcher and educator from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Minority Health Disparities Initiative; Twyla Hansen, Nebraska State Poet; and Byron Anway, artist.
The “Artful Teaching” event is free and open to Lincoln Public Schools, parochial, private and home school educators. Registration is available by clicking here.
