The University Health Center is offering a flu shot clinic from 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. Oct. 4. No appointments are required. The shots are free for students and $30 for faculty and staff.
The clinic is part of a series of flu shot opportunities offered by the UHC to students faculty and staff.
The last flu shot clinic at the University Health Center on City Campus is 8 to 9 a.m. Oct. 26.
East Campus walk-in flu shot clinics are 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at Filley Hall and 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 15 at the East Union.
The UHC will file Blue Cross/Blue Shield claims for faculty and staff under the wellness benefit. Faculty and staff must present an insurance card at the time of vaccination in order to file a Blue Cross/Blue Shield claim. Employees who have used up the wellness benefit for the 2013 coverage period, will be sent a bill from the UHC via the Patient Portal at http://go.unl.edu/uhcportal.
Payment via cash or check is required at the time of the shot.
Forms are available online, http://go.unl.edu/gbi5, to fill out prior to coming to a flu shot clinic. Having the forms filled out ahead of time speeds up the process.
Individuals unable to make a walk-in clinic should call 402-472-5000 to schedule an appointment. For more information, go to http://go.unl.edu/csk.
