UNL Wind Ensemble to perform Dec. 4

UNL Wind Ensemble

What would happen if a Renaissance-dancing master could be transported to the 21st century? And what would Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers sound like if they were living in the modern era?

The UNL Wind Ensemble will perform a mixture of past and contemporary music in a program at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Kimball Recital Hall.

It will feature Jacob’s classic “William Byrd Suite,” Hesketh’s new “Danceries, Set II,” Prokofiev’s dramatic suite from “Romeo and Juliet” and Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Jesters.”

Cost is $3 for students and senior citizens and $5 for other members of the public.
