Veneciano to give lecture on surrealism


Jorge Daniel Veneciano, director of the Sheldon Museum of Art, will present a lecture on surrealism at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 21 in the Sheldon. The lecture, “Doing Things with Objects: Tapping Your Inner Surrealism,” is free and open to the public.

Veneciano will discuss the dualities of surrealism, including those between between self and object, and perception and reality. The talk is held in conjunction with the exhibition “Its Surreal Thing: The Temptation of Objects.”
