Sierra Conway uses a punch to collect samples from the leaves of several corn plants in each plot at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s research fields at 84th and Havelock in July 2020. Nebraska is one of three universities taking lead roles in the multi-institutional Agriculture Genome to Phenome Initiative, which recently received a third round of funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
