
Jennifer Clarke
Nebraska’s Jennifer Clarke, professor of food science and technology, will deliver a research talk, “The Venn Diagrams of Data Science” via Zoom at 4 p.m. Feb. 5.
In the presentation, Clarke will discuss the growth of data science as a recognized scientific discipline in the last decade. She will also highlight career opportunities in data science for mathematical scientists. Interdisciplinary collaborations will be a focal point. Additional topics will include the emphasis in academia on open science and reproducibility, and the growing importance of advanced cyber-infrastructure.
