Genealogy Over Lunch, a University Libraries group designed to help individuals explore and organize family trees, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in Love Library South, Room 318.
The meeting will feature a discussion on the value of land records, which are among the most extant of American sources for early research. Land records can be used to identify family members and build a family history.
Participants will also have time to discuss individual research finds and ask questions.
Genealogy Over Lunch is open to faculty, staff and students who wish to research their family tree. The group typically meets every third Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. in Love Library.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch.
