Karsten Koehler, assistant professor of nutrition and health sciences, and Jeffrey Stevens, associate professor of psychology, will host a free and public research symposium, “Integrating Exercise, Appetite Regulation and Food Choices for a Healthy Lifestyle: The Role of Behavioral, Physiological and Neural Mechanisms,” from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m Oct. 16 in the Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior, Room B60.
Funded through the University of Nebraska Food for Health Initiative, the symposium is coordinated by a transdisciplinary research consortium studying the effects of exercise on decision making about future food intake. Speakers include Robin Shook of Children’s Mercy Hospital, Laura Martin of the University of Kansas Medical Center, and Aron Barbey of the University of Illinois.
