Registration for fall #NCLUDE groups open until Aug. 30

11 faculty have been chosen to participate in Big Ten leadership programs this year.

The University of Nebraska’s #NCLUDE program is offering 25 small learning groups for the fall semester. Registration is open through Aug. 30.

The #NCLUDE small learning groups offer opportunities to talk candidly over the course of a semester, addressing inclusive excellence as a part of everyday interactions. These small groups are intended to develop relationships in concentrated areas of introspection to help students, faculty, staff, alumni and the larger community understand and embrace the opportunities to create a greater sense of community and belonging.

The wide range of topics include international student support, universal design for learning, mental health, and navigating uncomfortable conversations. The fall slate of #NCLUDE small groups are led by campus leaders, including members of Nebraska Extension, the Center for Academic Success and Transition, University Honors Program, and the Center on Children, Family, and the Law.

Learning group participants commit to meeting six times over the semester with the same small group of six to 12 people. Participants will have designated learning materials to prepare for each meeting, and the discussions will focus on applying those materials through self-reflection and everyday action.

Registration closes on Aug. 30. Priority will be given to those who register early. Additional information, including group descriptions, meeting times and how to register here.
