Registration has opened for the next Inclusive Leadership Retreat, taking place 1-6 p.m. March 30 in the Willa Cather Dining Complex’s Red Cloud Room.
The event is limited to 150 students. Refreshments will be provided. To register, click here.
The retreats aim to help students think deeply about how to lead inclusively and to take on leadership roles in the classroom, in university clubs or organizations, and in their communities. Through small-group activities, guided reflections and interactive discussions, the retreats increase participants’ awareness of what it means to be an inclusive leader; promote confidence in facilitating conversations about inclusion and diversity; and help build connections to other student, staff and faculty leaders on campus.
Student participants are prepared to apply for university leadership positions that include peer mentors and consultants; roles with Registered Student Organizations and New Student Enrollment; resident assistants; and college and research ambassadors. Participants are also certified to serve as facilitators for Husker Dialogues, a campus event for first-year students held each fall.
