In recognition of National Retirement Security Week, the University Benefits Office is teaming up with Fidelity Investments and TIAA to offer employees educational webinars on planning for retirement.
The week of Oct. 19-22, four different sessions are planned. These informational webinars are beneficial to employees who would like to learn more about saving for retirement or who are nearing retirement. Employees do not need to be enrolled in Fidelity’s or TIAA’s services in order to participate.
The date, time, registration and information for each session are as follows:
Oct. 19, 11 a.m. — “Money at Work 2: Sharpening Investment Skills,” presented by TIAA, will be an interactive workshop covering the importance of maximizing potential investment grow while minimizing risk. It will also cover investing options and how to manage more complex finances. Register here for this session.
Oct. 20, 11 a.m. — “Identify and Prioritize Your Savings Goals,” presented by Fidelity Investments, will offer strategies and tips on prioritizing and funding specific savings goals, like buying a home or saving for a child’s education. Register here for this session.
Oct. 21, 1 p.m. — “Halfway There: A Retirement Checkup,” presented by TIAA, will cover saving for retirement and how planning ahead gives your savings an opportunity to grow. Register here for this session.
Oct. 22, 11 a.m. — “Learn the Basics of When and How to Claim Social Security,” presented by Fidelity Investments, will cover how and when to claim your benefit. Register here for this session.
