The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 5-6 at St. Mark's on the Campus, 1309 R St.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Sign up for a donation time online.
This winter, the Red Cross is asking donors to create a flurry of hope for patients in need by giving blood. Those who donate between Jan. 27 and Feb. 28 will receive a $15 e-gift card to the retailer of their choice.
The United States is in an emergency blood shortage, as the number of people donating blood has dropped to its lowest level in 20 years.
