Symphonic Band to play 'Remembrances' on April 27

The Symphony Orchestra performs.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Symphonic Band will perform a concert, “Remembrances,” at 3:30 p.m. April 27 in Westbrook Music Building, Room 130, with a simulcast in Room 119.

The concert is free and open to the public. 

The Symphonic Band is conducted by Tony Falcone, senior lecturer and associate director of bands, with graduate assistant conductor Eric Elker. 

The program includes works by Gary P. Gilroy (the Nebraska premiere of “To the Last ‘TA-DA!’”), Viet Cuong, Tielman Susato, Kevin Day, Scott McAllister, Heather Ellis Koehn, Frank Ticheli and Carl Holmquist.

The Symphonic Band has the distinction of being the band program’s top symphonic ensemble.
