Water for Food Global Conference registration deadline extended

Nebraska Water Center

The registration deadline for attending the 2025 Water for Food Global Conference in person has been extended to April 11. Discounted registration of just $250 is available for students and University of Nebraska faculty and staff.

The conference, planned for April 28-May 2, addresses the complicated issues of global water and food security and features both traditional conference sessions and interactive side tours. Along with providing ample academic, practice and policy content, the size and format of the conference also provides an optimal setting for informal conversations and connections.

Register now online. Virtual registration remains open until the conference begins.

Registration prices are as follows:

  • $550 for in-person registration
  • $250 for students and University of Nebraska faculty and staff
  • $150 for DWFI faculty fellows and DWFI supported students
  • $100 for virtual registration (includes live streaming of all plenary and concurrent sessions and immediate access to all archived conference sessions)

The five-day event brings together academia, government agencies, policymaking groups, nonprofits, non-governmental organizations, entrepreneurs, water managers, growers, commodity boards, students and private industry partners to explore research, expand technologies and share relevant knowledge around water management for high-productivity commercial agriculture, smallholder agricultural water management and environmental and human health in agricultural systems

The full conference agenda and a current list of speakers can be found on the conference website. More than 27 sessions are planned, including more than 75 speakers.

The event will also include several optional bus tours across Nebraska on April 28 and May 2 for an additional fee of $100 each. The tours delve into the heart of Nebraska agriculture and provide hands-on opportunities to see local farms and facilities in action. Optional side events are now also available to non-conference attendees at the registration link.
