The Association of Students of the University of Nebraska and the Black Student Union will co-host a Women of Color in STEM panel, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12. Presented via Zoom, the panel is part of a series of racial equity and inclusion events.
The panel discussion will include Alicia Johnson, a graduate student in biochemistry; Kleidy Camela, a graduate student in national resources; Kaitlyn Tademy, a graduate student in mathematics; Kilan Bishop, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Miami; and Korie Grayson, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan. The panelists will discuss their unique experiences as women and people of color in fields of study that are predominantly white and male.Registration, which is required, is available here.
