Borstelmann elected to history society post


Tim Borstelmann

Tim Borstelmann has been elected vice president/president elect of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations.

Borstelmann is the E.N. and Katherine Thompson Professor of Modern World History. He joined UNL’s Department of History in 2003. He came from Cornell University, where he taught in the history department for 12 years.

Borstelmann will serve as vice president of the society in 2014 and president in 2015.

The Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations is the leading organization for the study of the relationship of the United States to the rest of the world. The organization has more than 1,600 members.
