In recent weeks, UNL’s Paul Johnsgard has published three new books. The ornithologist and emeritus professor of biological sciences has now published 61 books.
Johnsgard’s three recent publications are:
“Yellowstone Wildlife: Ecology and Natural History of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem,” (2013, Boulder: University Press of Colorado), 239 pages
“Bird and Birding in the Bighorn Mountains Region of Wyoming,” (2013, Zea E-Books and University of Nebraska Digital Commons), 260 pages
“The Birds of Nebraska,” (2013, Zea E-Books and University of Nebraska Digital Commons), 146 pages
“Yellowstone Wildlife” features 45 color photos by Tom Mangelsen, a former student of Johnsgard’s who is now one of the world’s best-known wildlife photographers.
Jacqueline Canterbury, another of Johnsgard’s former students, and Helen Downing, were major contributors to “Birds and Birding in the Bighorn Mountains Region of Wyoming.
