Lorie Line and her Fab 5 will play the Lied Center for Performing Arts at 3 p.m. Dec. 8. The holiday performance is part of a 38-show “Born in Bethlehem” tour.

Line will perform favorites, as well as brand new seasonal songs. The show will feature all of Line’s key performance elements — signature musical arrangements, colorful costumes, stories, world-class musicians and bells.

Classically trained since the age of 5, Line has been touring for 24 years. Her unique grassroots story has been featured in hundreds of magazines and news publications across the country. She has hosted three PBS specials, sold 6 million albums and published 39 books of music. Her show is two hours long and is appropriate for ages 4 and up.

“Seeing Ms. Line perform on the Lied Center stage has become a holiday tradition for many of our patrons,” said Bill Stephen, executive director of the Lied Center. “Our relationship with the Line family started over 15 years ago. We are so pleased to have her back this holiday season.”

Line said her holiday extravaganza is new and different each year.

The Fab 5 is full of brand new, young talent this year; the youngest member is just 20, the oldest 23. Returning are fan favorite Robbie Nordstrom on violin and Mike Linden on guitar. Newcomers include Drew Moore on bass, Ryan Christiansen, a sophomore trombone major at the University of Minnesota, and Marcus Farrow, drummer and semi-professional boxer.

Ticket holders are encouraged to bring bells to play along with Line and the Fab 5.

Tickets, available online, at the Lied box office and 402-472-4747, are $49.50 for adults.

This is a rental event, which means the Lied Center has limited control over ticket prices, discounts, cancellation and refund policies, event-related activities, content, recording/reproduction, etc.
