Mari Greer

Mari Greer

UNL’s Mari Greer received a Kudos award during the May 30 meeting of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.

Greer, an administrative assistant in the Office of Research and Economic Development, has worked at UNL since 1998. She was nominated for her work ethic, dedication to the university and client-focused service.

“Mari’s dedication to the university and the Office of Research and Economic Development is expressed in many ways, including her willingness to essentially double her workload and work evening and weekends in the absence of a colleague,” wrote Prem Paul, vice chancellor for research and economic development, in Greer’s nomination form. “She understands how to get things done at the university, helps colleagues and faculty navigate processes and approvals, and effectively interacts with faculty and other research stakeholders.”

Greer has also demonstrated leadership by serving as president of the University of Nebraska Office Professionals Association.

The Kudos Award is a university-wide honor presented by the regents to celebrate staff who go above and beyond in their work for the university. For more information, go to http://go.unl.edu/ukp.
