The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior, together with multidisciplinary partners, will host the 2015 Educational Neuroscience Conference at UNL’s Wick Alumni Center on Oct. 15-16.
Conference registration is now available.
The fall conference will draw education professionals, researchers and students to discuss recent findings in the field of educational neuroscience and potential impacts for students’ academic and social outcomes.
Educational neuroscience researchers from across the country will speak at the event, which also features a regional research symposium, speaker panel discussion and poster presentation. Presenters will discuss the use of brain imaging for personalized classroom instruction and explore how classroom activities shape the brain.
Dennis Molfese, director of the Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior, has more than four decades experience in brain imaging techniques and will share research findings at the conference.
Molfese said the field of educational neuroscience relies on a bidirectional approach from educators and neuroscientists. The conference is an opportunity to bridge the gap, he said, and connect the classroom to the brain.
“We want to provide a collaborative platform to engage educators and researchers,” he said. “Our goal is to set a foundation for future partnerships, as we work together for student success.”
