Registration open for Oct. 27 Strong Husker competition


The second Strong Husker competition is noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at Cook Pavilion.

The second “Strong Husker” competition is noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 in Cook Pavilion. Organized by Campus Recreation, Strong Husker is a Strongman-style competition focusing on the power, strength, endurance and dexterity of participants.

Five events offered as part of the competition are: log clean and press, hex bar deadlift, tire flip, prowler pull and timed medley (to be revealed at the event).

The event is open to men and women. Men’s weight classifications are lightweight, medium-weight, heavyweight and ultimate. Women’s classifications are lightweight and ultimate.

Prizes will be awarded. Cost to participate is $20. All participants receive a free T-shirt. The competition is also held in conjunction with the “Greek Cup” contest.
