Due to demand, the University Health Center is offering an extra flu shot clinic from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Oct. 11 at the UHC on City Campus.
No appointments are required. The shots are free for students and $30 for faculty and staff.
The clinic is part of a series of flu shot opportunities offered by the UHC to students faculty and staff.
Remaining regularly scheduled flu shot clinics are 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 15 at the East Union, and 8 to 9 a.m. Oct. 29 at the University Health Center.
The UHC will file Blue Cross/Blue Shield claims for faculty and staff under the wellness benefit. Faculty and staff must present an insurance card at the time of vaccination in order to file a Blue Cross/Blue Shield claim. Employees who have used up the wellness benefit for the 2013 coverage period, will be sent a bill from the UHC via the Patient Portal at http://go.unl.edu/uhcportal.
Payment via cash or check is required at the time of the shot.
Forms are available online, http://go.unl.edu/gbi5, to fill out prior to coming to a flu shot clinic. Having the forms filled out ahead of time speeds up the process.
Individuals unable to make a walk-in clinic should call 402-472-5000 to schedule an appointment. For more information, go to http://go.unl.edu/csk.
