UNL offers free seminar on hops production

A free seminar on hops production will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. June 30 in 150 Keim Hall on UNL's East Campus.

A free seminar on hops production will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. June 30 in 150 Keim Hall on UNL's East Campus.

Those interested in growing hops as a hobby or for profit are encouraged to attend an informational seminar hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Department of Agronomy and Horticulture from 4 to 6 p.m. June 30 in 150 Keim Hall on UNL’s East Campus.

Researchers will be on hand to provide background information on hop growth and development, cultivation and harvesting. There will be a discussion on challenges with production, handling and marketing of the crop specific to Nebraska.

There is no charge to attend the seminar, but space is limited to the first 48 respondents. To register, visit http://agronomy.unl.edu/hops-seminar.
