The Missouri Valley branch and the Missouri branch of the American Society for Microbiology will meet March 26-28 on UNL’s City Campus. The event is open to faculty, staff and students.
The meeting will feature ASM distinguished lecturers Bert Semler and John Stolz. It will also include several prominent local microbiology researchers and presentations by students from the region.
Semler is a professor of microbiology and molecular genetics at the University of California, Irvine. For information on his research focus, click here.

The ASM meeting is, in part, designed for undergraduate and graduate student researchers who seek to gain experience presenting on research. Students can give a short oral or a poster presentation at this meeting and awards will be given to the top presenters in different categories.
