In the upper left corner of a 19th century newspaper is an example of poetry UNL's Elizabeth Lorang is researching.  She is collaborating with Leen-Kiat Soh, Associate Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department, and undergraduate students Spencer Kulwicki and Maanas Varma Datla who have developed software to search out and recognize the poetry from digitized newspapers.
