UNL will host a candlelight vigil honoring those who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and those who continue to serve the nation. The vigil, organized by the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska, is 8 p.m. on the Nebraska Union Plaza.
A chaplain will lead the candlelight vigil/moment of silence. Members of UNL ROTC will present the colors. The event will include a 21-gun salute and be attended by Lincoln Fire Department’s honor guard and a group of patriot guard riders.
The event is free and open to the public.
